Details that you didn’t get in the Selectman’s meeting…
The truth is out there… coming 2017
Here is a sneak peek… “No good deed goes unpunished”
Statements by former staff and Recreation Commission members in response to the
“Final report” dated October 7, 2016:
“This Report appears to be designed for the sole purpose of justifying the expenditure of over $62,000 for an investigation that far exceeded its needed scope.”
The Respondents believe that too much time and energy has already been spent in dealing with problems that either did not exist, had already been resolved or that were greatly overstated. Could the operations of Camp Kiwanee been improved? Certainly. Was there every any intent by the Respondents to gain any improper advantage from their role with Camp Kiwanee? Absolutely not!
There is an old saying that “No good deed goes unpunished.” In this case you have dedicated individuals who devoted thousands of hours over several years to help the Town of Hanson and Camp Kiwanee. While there is always room for improvement, the scope of the investigation and the vile nature of the Report in an attempt to destroy the reputation of the Respondents was not necessary and was not required.
The Respondents feel the Selectmen should acknowledge that the Respondents were all individuals dedicated to the preservation and development of Camp Kiwanee and never intentionally acted in any way to inappropriately benefit themselves.
